Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Jared Richard Mickelsen, embarked on his new journey after a brave battle with cancer on July 14, 2023.

Jared was born to Kathy Ann and Garry Wayne Mickelsen on Sept 1, 1978. He is the middle brother of three boys. Jared attended Kearns High School from 1993 - 1995 and graduated from Brighton High School in 1996.

Jared Married the love of his life Angie Mae Hancock on June 24, 2000. They had 2 beautiful children, Sydnie and Ryland, that he adored with all his heart.

Jared was an Owner-Operator of Mickelsen Excavating & Construction Inc with his father and brother Zack for over 20 years and was always so excited to go to work every day.

Jared was the life of the party and he always had positive energy. He had a personality that brought everyone together and you couldn’t help but have a good time. Jared loved spending time with his family at Bear Lake and riding his Side by Side with friends and family. Jared was so adventurous and would always be down for a camping trip. Jared also loved to travel, he got to go on a once in a lifetime adventure to Alaska with his father, brother and friends this last year and to Hawaii again with his wonderful wife.

Jared is survived by his parents, Garry and Kathy, wife Angie, children Sydnie and Ryland, his two brothers Jason (July), Zack (Adrianna), grandparents Madge Jeremy and Richard (Shirleen) Maxfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, (10600 South), Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 – 10:45 am prior to the services.
