Obituary
Jared William Corpron, 45, beloved husband, father, son, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2026. Jared was born in Salt Lake City to William Corpron and Kay (Terry) Kenyon. He married Ashley Hollobaugh in 2004. They are the proud parents of Tyler and Raquel Corpron.
Jared had a larger than life personality and everything he did, he did with an unmatched passion that drew in the people around him. He was a natural leader, an amazing teacher, an engaging storyteller, and a dreamer whose many hobbies and projects could be summed up in the mantra, “Go big, or go home!” Jared served an LDS mission to Trujillo, Peru and had a lifelong love and deep friendships with the Peruvian people that he served. When he married Ashley, he gained a partner who stood by his side through all of the ups and downs of life and was a willing participant in the many hobbies that he was passionate about. Those hobbies included working out, weightlifting, participating in Strongman competitions, hiking, camping, fishing on the river, and playing board games (Settlers of Catan and Killer Bunnies were his favorites.) He was a sore winner and a sore loser! However the game ended, he was going to let you hear about it! Jared was Tyler and Raquel’s hero and was passionate about whatever his kids were interested in. Over the years, that meant that scouting, BMX, swimming, basketball, and piano were intense family commitments. Jared loved food and often said, with his signature big smile, that “Ice cream heals anything!”
Jared worked in the HVAC industry for more than twenty years, working for At Your Service Pros for the past 7 years. His dynamic personality made him an excellent salesman, and it was often said that, “He could sell ice to an Eskimo.” In 2025, he and Ashley moved to the family farm in Sevier County. They rebuilt the home that was originally owned by his great grandfather and Jared worked tirelessly to transition the farm to grow a large assortment of organic produce. He loved his dogs, had a soft spot for animals and people that were down on their luck, and had a deep appreciation for those who had gone before. He was fond of saying that he lived in the house that both his great grandfather and great, great grandfather had died in.
Jared was preceded in death by his father, Bill Corpron. He is survived by his awesome wife, Ashley; terrific son, Tyler; his daughter, whom he called the Ranunculus (a special flower) Raquel; mother and step-father, Kay and Terry Kenyon; brothers, Brian, David (Kristen), Trent (Katee); sister Nicole (Brannen) Smith; step-sisters Julie (Wes) Wilcox, Lisa (Dan) Miller, Amy Thomson; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws; and best friend, Clint (Elissa) Nelson.
An evening visitation will be held on July 22, 2026, from 6-8pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, UT 84092.
Funeral services will be July 23, 2026, at 11am, located at 11777 South Willow Wood Drive, Draper, UT 84020. An additional visitation will be held at the same building prior, at 10am.
Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
Services will be live streamed and recorded. To attend, please click “watch services.”
Tributes
Sean pacientes y que Dios los fortalezca. Mis sinceras condolencias! "Hasta vernos con el rey"
I can not say things you don't know about him. So I will just express my gratitude for his example, his smiles, and happy way to live life. He was one of my english teachers when I was a new member of the church. He earned the love and respect of many people for his friendliness. I am glad I could met him and had the chance to enjoy his epic fireworks for independence day when I lived in Utah with my family. Meeting his family was a special occasion. We were all blessed to meet him.
Love
Arleane Prisbrey and family.
I just recently met Jared at an event in Richfield. He told me all about his greenhouses and his plans for organic vegetables in our county with such passion and excitement. It was a great conversation and I was excited for and about all he was doing. Then I saw him again when I shopped his greenhouses for all my garden vegetables I don’t dare grow from seed myself. He seemed like a really great guy, what little I knew of him. He was kind, knowledgeable, and very approachable. You all have been on my mind constantly since I saw he was missing. I am very sorry about this outcome. I hope the county surrounds you with love and support.
To me, Elder Corpron will always be the “Alma” of our mission. He and Elder Gamarra were our Alma and Amulek. They exceeded every goal, inspired everyone around them, and left a lasting mark on the lives of so many missionaries.
My heart is broken. I pray that his family will find the comfort, strength, and peace they need during this incredibly difficult time. His legacy of faith, dedication, and Christlike love will never be forgotten.
Mis más sinceras condolencias para su familia. Que descanse en paz.
My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the Corpron family. I had the privilege of serving with Jared in the Peru Trujillo Mission in several areas. I came to know him as a cheerful, faithful, and steadfast servant in the Lord’s work. His example and dedication will always be remembered.
My love and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I find comfort in the promise that, through our Savior Jesus Christ, we will be together again.
Until we meet again, dear Jared.

Jared—or Elder Corpron, as I knew him during his time as a missionary—became a spiritual giant, capable of speaking to everyone about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and testifying with power. He was a zone leader who inspired many missionaries to step out of their comfort zones and follow in the Master's footsteps. His connection with the Lord was so profound during that time that it was common to receive weekly letters in which, after recounting their experiences, he and his companion would sign off as Alma and Amulek rather than using their own names. For this and other reasons, I know that Elder Corpron departed as a giant and will hear these words from the Lord: "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Until we meet again, my dear Elder.
My dear friend Jared. We met long time ago in Peru. Your companion Elder Gamarra... Javier introduced us. I had the privilege to meet your beautiful sister Nicole and your sweet mother Kay!
We had so much fun together! From the first time we met we were destined to be good friends and the friendship grew stronger with time. I remember when you told me about meeting Ashley. How excited you were! How proud you were of your children!
I can barely believe that I am writing this now. My heart is broken in pieces!!! You were there for me when I most needed to be lifted. You never judged me, you were always there listening to all my bs, and you never left me alone to fall! I will miss you, my dear friend! Wherever you are know that I respect you and love the person that you were. The best memories of our friendship will always be in my heart! May your soul rest in peace, till we meet again 🙏
There is a load for words when a loved one leaves us, as the pain seems unbearable, but you will survive and cherish every good memory and create remembrance together that warm your heart for all the GOOD he was. I say this as one who has lived through this experience and loves all of you, and will pray for that one comforter way more powerful than my words. We have a dear one buried there at Larkin under the same circumstances and many others spread all over in other cemeteries. May Good lift your souls to get through these next few days. Cling together often... you already do. You are strong people and have one another to continue loving. Keep faith strong. You will see him alive again.
Sending so much love and wishes for comfort to the whole family. My heart is with you at this time and always.
With heavy hearts, we were deeply saddened to hear of Jared Corpron's passing.
We are writing from Trujillo, Peru, where we had the blessing of meeting Jared during his mission. Along with Elder Gamarra, he was one of the first missionaries to visit our family. Through his faithful service, patience, and love, our family came to know the gospel and was eventually baptized. We will always be profoundly grateful for the influence he had on our lives.
Our heartfelt prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. We pray that our Heavenly Father will bless them with comfort, strength, and peace. We also find comfort in knowing that Jared has returned to our Heavenly Father and that his faithful service continues to bless the lives of so many.
Thank you, Elder Corpron, for your Christlike example, your patience, and for being an instrument in the Lord's hands. You will always be remembered with love and gratitude by our family in Trujillo, Peru.

Sorry for your loss.
I share in the grief of the Corpron family; he served his mission in Peru, Trujillo La Esperanza. I am so sorry for your loss.
Ashley, I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers and thoughts. I know how hard this is and I pray the Lord will give you peace. If you need anything please let me know. All my love, Joy Spraycar
Elder Corpron was the first companion I ever had after joining the church. As a 25 year old missionary (me) paired with a 19 year old Jared, I was wholly overwhelmed by his IMMENSE enthusiasm and impenetrable optimism. So much so, that initially it drove me crazy! He was exploding with excitement! He was both an unstoppable force, and an immovable object; a giant of a man. I admit, I was quite overwhelmed. But it wasn't hard to see Jared's heart. He was all heart (and smile). As the "green" new missionary I was, I learned SO much from him, and more particularly, from the Savior as Jared served with passion and zest I have NEVER quite seem matched. Truly a soldier in the Lord’s battalion.
I am broken hearted by your passing brother! Broken hearted more for those whom you leave behind. Your loss is bigger and broader than your massive smile. But I know with certainly that the Savior knows your heart. Your heart of service, love and enthusiasm was always on full display! A life spent in the service of others. Until we meet again my friend.
Ashley, our deepest and sincerest condolences to you and yours. Your loss is immeasurable. But time will pass and eternity will come into focus. We are only spiritual beings having mortal experiences and Jared’s loss will ripple throughout all our lives. This stands as a testament of his great. big. heart. Our love and prayers and thoughts with you.
Corpron Family,
We mourn with you and pray for you as you manage the loss of Jared. Sending our love and heartfelt condolences

Corpron family, Knowing Kay and her family from the old neighborhood in Sandy while her family was growing up was special. Kay and I have remained best friends ever since. This shocking passing of Jared comes with tears and a heartfelt sadness. I have been blessed to have Kay as such a great lifelong friend.
He was in many ways a choice young man and I am very sorry to hear of his death when he was so young and he had so much life and potential. You are in my prayers and thoughts always but especially now. May God grant you peace and comfort now and in the coming days and weeks.
Truly a man of god!! Friend for life and beyond the veil of eternity indeed. Rest well dear righteous friend. You will fly with the angels in the work of our Lord and Savior!!!!!🙏😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏😭
Dear Ashley, you don’t need to answer this text. I just want you to know how much we loved Jared. He was the only home teacher who cared enough to visit us when I was struggling with the church and with life. For a long stretch, church was something I’d only show up for when he was teaching. Justin and I would get so excited when he taught, and sad when he left that calling.
Jared made a real difference in my life during a hard time. He helped us more than once when money was tight, when he sold us HVAC systems for cost. Those were months we didn’t know how we’d afford basic things. He didn’t even know about our financial problems — he’d just say, “I don’t make money on my neighbors,” always followed by, “That’s hilarious." He made an impact in my life. I don't know what to say, nor can I relate to your pain, but I want you to know that you are loved, and we feel deeply for you. I am so sorry Ashely. I wish I could give you a hug. You are not alone. With my love,
Marcia.
Corpon Family,
Our hearts are full of sadness and we can't imagine what you are going through. Jared will truly be missed. We are sending all of our love and prayers to you at this time.
A met and knew Jared through Clint Nelson. Their friendship has always impressed me. My favorite memories with Jared, although they were few and brief, were lifting weights together in the garage gym in Sandy/Draper. Jared’s smile and positive outlook encouraged me to be better, kinder person. He will be missed! Many thoughts and prayers to all of Jared’s family and friends!
I'm so sorry for all that has happened
Kay, David and family:
May you feel God’s love and peace as you gather with family to celebrate Jared’s life. Our prayers are with you.
With Love
Dear Ashley and Family, We are so sorry for the loss of Jared. He was such a wonderful person and loved so much by so many people. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,Bob and Diana Workman and Family
Jared will always be the goofy older brother who loved Niki so much! That big grin could light up a room and bring joy to those around him! Sending all my love and sympathy to everyone in the family. You are in prayers now and in the days to come. Love you!!
I will always remember Jared's infectious smile. It didn't matter if he was outside in the heat of the day working and sweating, inside enjoying the cool air conditioning, he always greeted me with a smile and a hug.
Apreciada familia,
