Loving husband, father and "Pompa" was taken from us suddenly on September 3, 2014. Davey worked as a procurement officer at Hill Air Force Base until his retirement. He was also a retired Master Sergeant in the Air Force Reserves, of which he was very proud. In his spare time, he built 2 cabins, restored furniture and antique cars. He liked coin collecting, travel and reading. After he retired, he volunteered for Meals on Wheels and organized senior citizen tours all over the United States and Western Canada. Davey's greatest joy in life was time spent with his beloved wife, Elaine and his family. For Davey, no family vacation or gathering was ever complete without his entire family.
Davey is survived by his children Chali Wertz (Tommy), Clay Burton, Missi Roeber (Wayne), DJ Burton, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart Elaine Eichbauer Burton, daughter-in-law Camille Wood Burton and great grandson Charlie Kirton.
Family and friends are invited to gather Friday September 12th, from 11-12 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. Graveside services will be held at Utah Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah at 1:00pm.
