Jebb Lyle Muir

1978 ~ 2022

Jebb Lyle Muir passed away Monday, September 26, 2022. Born May 1, 1978 to parents Jack and Patti Muir in Heber, Utah, he was 44 years old.

Jebb grew up in Vernal, Utah, and loved the outdoors and many activities including golfing, skiing, camping, fishing, biking, hockey, motorcycle riding, kayaking and so much more. He loved being involved with the Boy Scouts and was proud to have earned his Eagle Scout. He was very creative and enjoyed making things with his hands including jewelry and some of the most delicious food.

Jebb lived a life of service: he went on a mission trip to Africa with his church, K2 The Church, in 2014 and always dreamed of going back. He cared for children in the foster care system by volunteering with Royal Family Kids every summer as a camp counselor and throughout the school year as a mentor. He loved and cared for a refugee family that became like his own for the past ten years. He volunteered with preschool age children of K2 The Church. He was happy making sure others around him were happy, comfortable and fed.

He is survived by his wife, Jenny Muir, his mom and dad, Jack and Patti Muir, his brothers Shay Muir (Shandi) and Tyler Muir (Neihlee), his beloved Burmese family (SakeeDa and her six children), his grandfather, Stew Paulick, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jack and Shirley Muir, Louise and Jerry Broadhead, Rita Paulick, and Valden Hurst.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Jenny’s employer, Reef Capital Partners, and Jebb’s employer, Lashbrook Design, for their monetary support during this difficult time.

Services will be held Friday, October 7th, at SouthEast Christian Church. There will be a visitation from 12:30 - 1:30pm, memorial service at 2:00pm, and lunch to follow. All are welcome to join the family for lunch and please feel free to dress casually.

Dearest Jenny and precious family of Jebb. Our hearts are with you at your time of loss. We are so very sorry and words just can’t express how we feel. What an amazing man he was and he will still live on in our hearts as a gifted servant and example to others, devoted, loving, and caring man. We are so very blessed to have known him and are here for you for anything you need. I still make my caramel sauce the way he told me, waiting for the wisps of smoke to come up from the pan before taking it off the heat.
