Jerry Edward Ryan

1935 ~ 2023

Jerry Edward Ryan, age 88, died on August 31st, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born on January 14th, 1935 to Frank and Sadie Ryan in Delta, Colorado. Jerry married Arlene Dupaix in 1956 in Reno, Nevada and served in the United States Air Force. Later he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several callings.

Jerry is survived by his son David (Terrie) Ryan of Bountiful, UT; daughter Lori Ryan of Kaysville, UT; grandchildren Cody Ryan and Stetson Ryan (Bekah Wingar) of Bountiful, UT; granddaughter Kandice (McKay) Ryan Hilton of Pleasant Grove, UT; and two great grandchildren Mazzkay and Maverick Hilton of Pleasant Grove, UT. Preceded in death by his wife Arlene Ryan; parents; brother and sisters.

Special thanks to the staff of Stonecreek and Ashbee Hospice for the tender care they gave to our father, grandfather and great grandfather over this past year. Thanks also to Albany Engineering Composites.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 8th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM all at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Arlene directly following the services.

We were lucky to have Uncle Jerry in our ward. We will miss not seeing him on the back row with his friends. He would have lunch with his at friends at Costco.
