    Our dad, best friend, Jesse Earl Nelson passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, May 17, 2021, just shy of his 93rd birthday.

    He served in the Navy in World War II. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 35 years of packing parachutes. He retired from Brasher’s Auto Auction after 25 years of service.

    Everyone who met him, loved him.

    Jesse will be missed by his children: George (Ilene) Nelson, Nadine (Bill) Anderson, Scott (Robyn) Nelson, Lynette (Ron) Gates, Tammy (Bill) Osborne, and Shauna (Gary) Cash. Along with many grandchildren and great-grand children.

    He is proceeded in death by his sweetheart of 74 years, Carol Nelson; his parents, Earl and Erma Menlove Nelson; his siblings, Marian, Barbara, Jack and Everett; his best friends, Chloe and Ray Searles, and many family members.

    The family would like to thank Intermountain Home Health and Hospice for their loving care. A special thanks to Anna, Dennis, Lauren, and Blake. A very special thank you to George, Nadine, Scott, Lynette and Tammy for all of their help in caring for him.

    A viewing will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 11 am to 12 pm at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84111). Graveside services will follow at 12:30 at Salt Lake City Cemetery (200 N St E, Salt Lake City, UT 84103).
