Rina passed away peacefully on May 14, 2014 in Riverton, Utah at the age of 71. She was born in Eindhoven, Netherlands to Dirk and Cornelia van den Oever.
Rina was an avid bowler and loved to travel. She loved reading, swimming, cooking, gardening and took great pride in her flowers, especially the bulbs. She is survived by her three daughters, Regina/Reggie (Todd) Ainsworth, Dee (Butch) Forgeron and Cher (Rick) Kemp. Dearest grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 18, and great-great grandmother of 2. She is preceded in death by her husband Roy, daughter Audrey, grand children Brittany and Brandon Benson. In 1962, she joined her new husband of only a year on an adventure when the Baptist church agreed to sponsor their move to Utah from the Netherlands. She very quickly picked up a new language and became a US Citizen. She also leaves behind three sisters, Tini (Dick), Else (Ron) and Ada (Piet) in the Netherlands, as well as a sister-in-law, Gerry (Cees) in the Netherlands, a sister-in-law, Djubi in Indonesia, and a brother-in-law Frans (Riet) in Sandy, Utah and sister-in-law, Carla and all of their families as well as many friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 7-9 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, Utah.
