Jim Louis Fergus passed away at the age of 84 on December 25, 2023. He was born on February 19, 1939 to Louis George Fergus and Beatrice Naomi Farnsworth in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He graduated from Jordan High School in 1959 after which he served his country in the United States Army for two years. He married Barbara Jean Welch on June 18, 1965 and together they had 5 children.
Jim is survived by his sons Jeremy (Jessica), Jason, and Josh Fergus, his daughter Lorna (Greg) Sturm, his brother Steve (Margie) Fergus, and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Katrina Ann (Katie) Fergus, his wife Barbara Fergus, and his sisters Stella Larsen and Helen Chandler.
There will be a graveside service on Tuesday January 9, 2024 at 2:00pm. The service will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd (10600 S.), Sandy, UT.
I am so sorry for your loss. I liked your dad. Him and Barbra was always fun to talk to. I am glad I got to know the family.
