Jimmie "Jim" Sloan

1946 ~ 2023

Jimmie “Jim” Ralland Sloan was born May 6, 1946, in San Diego, California, to James Clifford and Marie Tracy Sloan. Jim passed away peacefully in the hospital of heart failure on June 9, 2023, with his wife by his side.

Jim was the oldest of 3 brothers, Jim, Randy and Rudell.

He served in the U.S. Army in 1966 and was stationed in Germany. His father passed so he was called home to help his mother with his brothers.

Jim worked in the tire business all his adult life. He made many friends and truly enjoyed all of them.

He loved fishing at the Gorge, he only wanted the Big Fish! He also enjoyed taking trips with Beth on their Goldwing to many fun places.

Jim married Colleen Moss who had 3 children which he adopted. They had two children together Dustin and Justin. Later divorced.

Jim married Elizabeth Nemelka in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2003 where the family all sat on Jim’s side and said, “no give backs”!

Jim is survived by his wife, Beth, of 21 years, sons Justin, Dustin and Steve, Beth’s two daughters Kimberly and Becky, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, brother Rudell, son Larry, and a grandchild Kylie and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) Sandy, Utah.

I will always remember Jim’s booming, infectious laugh. He was friendly to everyone which made him an awesome salesman. He sure did love you Beth. My heart and thoughts are with you.
