JoAnne Budd Hutton

JoAnne Budd Hutton passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026, in West Jordan, Utah. She will be remembered for her love of family, her faithful testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the many simple joys that made life special for those around her.

She was the oldest of 6 children and a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. JoAnne found meaning and purpose in her faith and in the blessings of family. Whether she was sewing something special, baking treats to share with her family, watching her grandkids recreational activities, playing the piano, or dancing, she had a way of creating treasured memories and bringing happiness to those she loved.

She especially enjoyed traveling and making memories with family and friends. Time spent at the family cabin held a special place in her heart, providing opportunities to relax, enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, and cherish the moments spent together. These traditions and experiences will continue to be remembered and treasured by her family for years to come.

Above all, JoAnne loved her family. Her kindness, talents, and the memories she created through countless acts of love will remain a lasting part of the lives of those who knew her. Her legacy of faith, family, and love will continue through the generations.

She is survived by her children Tracy (Sheri), Troy (Cristen), Christopher (Rachel), Tawnya (Ray), Tina (Ben), Dave (Kristen), Spencer (Brooke), Sarah (Amos) and by her siblings Mike (Mercedes); Marilyn; Mark (Ceci); Janeen; and Jim (Teresa). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry; her parents, Jerry and Merle; and her niece, Mandy.

Her family takes comfort in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the promises of the gospel, including the hope of eternal families and the blessing of being reunited with loved ones through Him.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 11:00am at the Harvestland Ward 2976 W. Winchester Drive, West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30-1030am

Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah.
