Joel Eugene Elliott, 80, of Herriman, Utah, passed away on February 26, 2024, with his loving wife and son at his side.

Joel was born on August 29, 1943, in Venango, PA. He grew up in Ohio under the care of his mother Virginia Ethel Morgan Cunningham, whom he loved dearly. Joel joined the Marines in 1961 and served for five years in San Diego.

Some of the things that Joel enjoyed are NASCAR, the beach, and visiting with people wherever he went. His hobbies included assembling model cars and airplanes, flying RC planes, and playing the trumpet and organ.

Joel is survived by his wife Minviluz Abing Elliott and their son William Joel Elliott; his sister Sandra Flora; his four sons Chris (Tammie) Elliott, Scott (Lori) Elliott, Jeffrey Elliott, and Donny (Karen) Elliott; his two grandchildren Chris (Taylor) Elliott II and Logan Elliott; and twin great-granddaughters Kora & Kaia.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4501 W 11800 S, Riverton, Utah, on March 9, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
