Jonathan R. Call passed in his home on December 1, 2023, in Midvale, UT. He was born to Edward Allan and Beverly Latimer Call on June 18, 1951, in Ogden, UT. Jon moved from Utah with his family to California in the early 1960s, leaving for Spokane, WA, in 1967, where he finished high school. He attended community college to study accounting.

He worked as an inventory controller for several years in Spokane before moving to West Valley City, UT, with his mother, Beverly. Jon began working as a night auditor for a couple of hotels in the Salt Lake area. He resided at Applewood Mobile Home Park in Midvale, UT, for many years, where he met new friends and neighbors.

Jon enjoyed vegetable gardening, camping, fishing, and just plain hanging out. He always had an orange tabby cat to love and keep him company. Jon was also a good dancer, loved to two-step. He will be missed.

Jonathan is survived by his sister Linda Jeanne (Steve) Bergendoff, his cousins and second cousins Penny Thomas, Carroll Cropper, Gene & Chris Thomas, Larry & Linda Latimer, Alan & Sharon Latimer, Jenean & Eldon Tryon, Virgil & Ann Latimer, Michael (Mick) & Laine Latimer, and Jimmy Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, E. Allan Call and Beverly Latimer Call, brother James A. Call, and his longtime companion, Donna Swartz.

There will be a short remembrance and graveside dedication on March 8, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092
