Passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. He was born, January 19, 1952, to Robert H. Hunter and Margaret L. Hunter in Salt Lake City, Utah. Joe attended West High School and graduated with his class in 1970. Joe joined the US Navy where he served in Vietnam. Joe dedicated his career in the trucking business where he spent 30 years driving long haul. Joe retired from the trucking business and finished his career working as a security guard. Joe loved the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Joe is survived by father-in-law, sister-in-law Judy Smith, brother-in-law Ralph Francis Jr., four stepchildren and 11 grandchildren. He preceded in death by his parents, his sister Barbara and wife Patricia.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
