Josh K. Goodman

1990 ~ 2023

Joshua Kenneth Goodman, of Herriman, UT died on March 26, 2023 at the young age of 32. Joshua was born at CHOC Hospital in Orange County, CA.

Joshua is survived by his wife Chanae Payzant Goodman of thirteen years and their young children Kloie, Ryker, and Rex; parents Michael Ken Goodman (Kari) and Julie Baggaley (Thane); siblings Dane Goodman (Taryn), Whitney Goodman (Ty), Jerris Blaisdell (Connor), Jay Jensen (Rachel), Marin Crivello (JP), Brandon Hays (Jessica), Mikey Hays (Brandy), and Kacey Gardner (Steve). He was preceded in death by his nephew Thor.

Joshua moved to Utah at age four and graduated from Brighton High School. He married his high school sweetheart in 2010, was a wonderful Father to three children and purchased their first family home at age 22. He earned an associate degree at SLCC and began his career as a Nondestructive Test Specialist (NDT) in the Aerospace industry.

Joshua developed a strong work ethic scooping ice cream and selling newspaper subscriptions door- to-door after school. An adventurous and daring snowboarder, he loved catching big air. Josh had a great sense of humor and told the best ‘Dad jokes’ to anyone who would listen. He was inquisitive and wanted to know how and why things worked by disassembling and reassembling everything in the house. He prized loyalty and often dropped what he was doing to help a friend or family in need.

Josh showed unconditional love for his family with his time and attention by constructing sets for photo shoots, yelling the loudest at dance competitions, and frequent fishing trips with the kids. To know Josh was a joy.

To be loved by Josh was a gift.

Chanae,
I remember watching you guys the day you two got married. So young, happy, and eager to start your lives together with your soon to be up and coming family. The kind of love and care that you and Josh had for each other and your babies is the kind that very few people get to experience in their lifetime. My sincere prayer is that you and your babies can remember that special time and carry it with you forever. I love you cousin. My heart hurts for you. And my thoughts and prayers are with your and your family.

Our sincere condolences to the entire family. We knew Josh as a friend to our son PJ. They were a happy team in high school and beyond. They worked at a Ice cream store together and had a fun time. They talked me into using my new car for a trip to Cali, I’m sure they obeyed all the traffic laws. Josh was a good soul gone way too soon. We will miss him. Our Love…
