Joshua Stephen Jamison

Joshua Stephen Jamison was born September 28, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He sadly passed away at the young age of 42 Thursday afternoon, August 19, 2021, in Riverton, Utah.

Josh met his wife Kirstina in college at the University of Utah 20 years ago. They married May 17, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He always said it was love at first site after walking into her dorm room and seeing her sitting at her computer playing “Contraptions”.

As a child, you would most likely find Josh reading a book quietly in a corner. He also enjoyed a large variety of computer games (especially ones with a great story). Josh combined his love for words and games by writing stories for a company that created multiplayer text based RPG online games. He frequently teased the idea of moving to Canada to work for the company as a full time writer. He was excited about the idea of living in the extreme cold weather of Canada but ended up deciding to stay in Utah.

Josh loved to cook and had a passion for creating his own unique delicious sauces. His favorite way to travel was by cruise ship. Josh had a soft spot for all animals, with the exception of camels and llamas. He loved music and would have enjoyed taking time for “Music Appreciation” lessons. He had an exceptional memory and would be able to recall details most others would quickly forget.

Josh is survived by his wife, Kirstina, his mother and father, Teresa & Stephen Jamison, and his grandma and grandpa Paddi and Terrell Jamison.

He is preceded in death by his grandma, Donna Talley. He is also preceded in death by his grandpa Kelly & grandma Barbara Goodfellow.

Josh was incredibly smart, talented, determined, and very much loved. He will be greatly missed.
