Judith Ann Sneed Blain passed away on February 23, 2024, from incidences to due to age. She was born on July 11, 1944, in Jacksonville, Illinois to Trevor Huston Sneed and Alma Maxine Crider. She married MacArthur Byrd and was later divorced and then married to Robert J Blain and they were happily married for 44 years. They were sealed in the Salt Lake temple as well.

She graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and taught elementary school in Roxana, Illinois and then after moving to Utah, taught both 1st and 4th grade in the Jordan School District for many years. She was very involved in the Donation to Life organization after receiving two cornea transplants and spoke to groups on many occasions encouraging people to be organ donors. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, and a son, Darren Byrd. Darren followed her admonition and was a multiple organ donor. She is survived by her son Warren Byrd (Kristen), four bonus children she acquired from her second marriage. Jay Blain (Kathy), Roger Blain, David Blain (Shellie), Joan Scott (Rob), a stepbrother, Carl Blackwood, 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a very special cousin Carolyn Clark Mayhall of East Alton, Illinois.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT., 84092. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the same location and from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. on Saturday morning. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Donor Connect (see "In Lieu Of" button above). Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens cemetery.

My condolences go out to you all. I am so sad that Tammy and I can not come to the Funeral of our sweet Judy because if a vacation already planned!
I remember going to luncheon’s with Judy and speaking on organ transplants. Larry started the Good Samaritan Organ Donor for Kidneys.
