Celebration of Life

Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, UT 84092

Friday Jan 24, 2025 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judith (Judy) Anne Bush, who left us peacefully on January 12, 2025. Judy was born on February 5, 1942, to Robert and Hazel Patterson, who preceded her in death.

Judy was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Patterson. She is survived by her sister, Shari Nunez, and her children: Scott Schonrock and his wife Krista, Kim Mazzella and her husband Steve, and Michelle Howard and her husband Jeff. Judy's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Taylor, Dylan, Zachary, and Nicole, as well as her great-grandchild, Hunter.

Judy had a passion for knitting, playing cards, and baking. She found immense joy in spending time with her friends and family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Her warmth, kindness, and love for life touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Judy's spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Judy’s dedication to taking care of those she loved was evident in every aspect of her life. She always found a way to highlight what was important to each individual, ensuring that everyone felt valued and cherished. She even went so far as to make breakfast for Comet (Nicole’s dog) each morning he visited.

A celebration of Judy's life will be held on January 24, 2025, 1:00 to 3:00 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory and share in the love she so freely gave.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to an organization of your choice that supports research, treatment or patient advocacy for breast cancer.

Rest in peace, Judy. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy of love and kindness will endure.

I was so devastated to hear about Judy's passing, I was lucky to be able to call Judy a friend. As Judy's hair dresser for 20 plus years we shared our lives together through laughter and tears, ups and downs and all of our adventures. I always looked forward to her coming in as did everyone in the Salon. She would walk in with a big smile and so happy to chat with everyone. No matter how she was feeling she would always smile and light up the room with her energy. I will miss her and our visits dearly, especially her smile! My sincere condolences to her family. She loved and adored all of you so much!

A great friend to my mom and a person that loved to have a good time with everyone, anytime. Here's to Judy, a savvy gambler, great storyteller, motherly influence and a wonderful person to have known.
