Judy Lynn Powell Seal, 82, of Murray Utah, passed away on March 11, 2024, after complications from a neck injury lasting several years.

Judy was born on August 1st, 1941, to Clyde and Cleo Powell in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the oldest of three girls. After Judy graduated from Granite High in 1959, she continued to study various college courses at the University of Utah.

Judy enjoyed horseback riding and barrel racing, prior to starting her first job at the Midwest Office Supply Company as an administrative assistant. She later spent time volunteering as a “pink lady” at Cottonwood Hospital and working at various clinics, prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom.

In 1957, Judy met the love of her life, Larry Seal, on a blind date. They later married in Las Vegas Nevada, September 26, 1959. She remained by his side for nearly 65 years! Judy and Larry went on to have three sons, Kelly (Kymi), Kevin (Tonya) and Todd (Elena). Grandchildren, Kaitlin, Nick, Matt, and Shea.

As a stay-at-home mom, Judy spent her time enjoying all the good things life has to offer. She enjoyed the holidays, tracking and remembering birthdays, and lunch with family and friends. She loved music and dancing and was always fashionably dressed in colorful outfits that included matching accessories. She stayed up on current events, loved camping, enjoyed shopping and driving her plum color sports car. Later came the home shopping network, word finds, playing cards, mail order catalogues, cat everything, and her “favorites” to include Coke Zero and vanilla ice cream. She also had many different cats over her lifetime that she loved dearly.

Judy was preceded in death by her younger twin sisters Joan Svitak and Jeanne Nixon, Kelly Seal (son), Nick Seal (Grandson). Judy is survived by her husband Larry, Kevin (Son) and Todd (Son).

Services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092, on March 22nd with a viewing at 2:00 pm, and an intimate graveside service at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an organization of your choice.
