With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for the time we shared, we announce the peaceful passing of Justin Demetsky on March 31, 2026, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born on October 20, 1976, in Charlottesville, Virginia, Justin lived a life filled with faith, laughter, and unwavering optimism. He was the beloved son of Michael J. Demetsky and the late Johnnie Chambers-Heitz Demetsky. He is lovingly remembered by his father, Michael, and his brothers, Nate and Baz Demetsky.
A dedicated student and athlete, Justin began his college career playing football at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix.
Justin built a successful career in sales, where his charisma and resourcefulness left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. He was also a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through his involvement with youth and his willingness to share his testimony, he inspired many with his sincere faith and uplifting spirit.
Outside of his professional and spiritual life, Justin found joy in games and sports of all kinds—from chess to football. He will be remembered as joyful, enthusiastic, and relentlessly optimistic. A loyal friend to many and a fun-loving uncle, Justin delighted in bringing laughter to those around him, including dressing as Santa Claus during holiday gatherings.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for providing Justin with a strong foundation of faith and a supportive, loving community throughout his life.
While he will be deeply missed, Justin’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
