Chad Harley Boseman

1980 ~ 2015

Chad Harley Boseman passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2015 after courageously battling back from the ravages of an earlier stroke. Chad was born on April 16, 1980 in Berwyn, IL to John Jerald and Sherrie Slagle Boseman. He grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from East HS. He attended Salt Lake Community College and Utah State University. He married Rori Richins in 2003. Together they had 2 children, Marley and Carson. He considered them to be his greatest accomplishment in life. They later divorced. He met his soul mate Christy Hicks and they were married in 2012.

Chad loved soccer, snowboarding, rock climbing, playing guitar, cooking, flying, watching movies and tormenting his little brother; but most of all he loved hanging out with his wife Christy, his kids, and his family. His work as an inspector in the petroleum industry required him to travel and live in many different states, most recently Texas .

He had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This was exemplified by his character, which can best be described as LOVING, nonjudgmental, accepting of others, generous, funny and a peacemaker. He was able to overcome many great trials and empathize with others. As a result he leaves behind many cherished friends from diverse places.

He is survived by his wife, Christy; his children Marley (9), Carson (6); his parents, his siblings Peter Boseman (Liz), Amy Rigby (Jeremy), Cody Boseman (Tennille); nieces and nephews; in-laws and his many friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday March 24, 2015 in the Colonial Hills LDS chapel, 1455 S 1700 E. A viewing for friends and family will be held Monday 6-8pm, and Tuesday 10:30-11:30am at the same location. Read more about Chad and share your memories at www.larkincares.com.
