Mary Elaine Child Roberts passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Kay Baldwin Roberts for 65 years and devoted mother of Gregg Child Roberts. Mary was born in Salt Lake City on November 9, 1924 to Urbane Seer Child Sr. and Lillian (Lily) Otley Child. Mary graduated from West High School and attended L.D.S. Business College. She worked for Salt Lake Blue and the Kedman Company for 32 years. Mary cared for her family, her friends, and all who knew her. With her whole heart, she was always ready to listen and support everyone she touched. She was truly talented in so many ways and there wasn\t anything she couldn\t do. Mary was a very hard worker with a dry wit and spunky personality.
She is survived by her son Gregg, cherished sister-in-law Anne Roberts Smith, and two brothers, Urbane S. Child Jr. (Joan) and Dennis Urry (Ruth), and by many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd., Sandy, UT onFriday, September 5 at 2pm.
