Charles F. Bissell

1940 ~ 2013

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away December 6, 2013, on his 73rd birthday at home with his beloved wife Sharon. Charlie was born December 6, 1940 to Charles Austin Bissell and Edna Gabbitas Bissell.

Charlie was an avid fisherman and hunter. Strawberry was his favorite place to go fishing, where he would take people out on the lake to teach them how to catch fish. He spent the past 14 years taking care of his beloved dogs, Prince, Schatzie, Daisy and Timmy. Charlie's daily routine consisted of Yahtzee marathons with Sharon, watching Judge Judy and playing online poker. He was known around his neighborhood as the mayor of Stansbury Park. Charlie served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a journeyman machinist and took extreme pride in his work, and in doing so, advanced to the position of Foreman at Envirotech.

He leaves behind his wife, Sharon of 43 years, his daughter, Rachel (Chris) Ward, granddaughter Sidney Hopkins and son Mike (Kym) Giles, as well as his sisters, Joann Gertino and Nedra (Paul) Stuart. He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Richard Bissell.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, where a viewing will be held Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the services. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, Utah.
