Our beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great Great Grandfather, Uncle and friend passed away peacefully at his daughter Antonia Ortiz\s home on October 8th 2017 in West Jordan Utah.
Jose Rubel Quintanawas born May 5th 1926 in Ensenada, New Mexico. Rubel loved the out doors! he enjoyed fishing and hiking. Most of us can remember seeing him jogging through Liberty Park or riding his scooter to the water well on the east side. Our beloved Rubel had many passions such as,riding his bike in marathons and learning ti kwon do, karate, and ti chi. He simply enjoyed life! He always greeted with a smile and open arms, our loved one will deeply be missed and continue to live on in our hearts. Rubel was an active LDS member and was blessed with the opportunity to baptize his Grandaughter Teresa Archuleta, 3 weeks before his passing. He took great pride in his religion! We love you Boss!
He is survived by his sister Piscillia Aviles (Luis Aviles), his two daughters Antonia Ortiz (Angel Ortiz), Rita Cravens (Jimmy Cravens) many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great children.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Florence Quintana, sister Martha Lopez (Manuel Lopez), son Fred Quintana, grandsons Gregory Quintana andJoe Quintana, great grandson Paris Gustin, and great great grandson Baby Angel
Services will be heldon Saturday, October 14that 12:00 noonatLarkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT. A viewing will be heldon Friday, October 13thfrom6:00-8:00 pm, and 1 hour prior to the service, both atLarkin Mortuary. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
