Ann Kathryn Bradford Bostain

1939 ~ 2014

With loved ones surrounding her Ann Kathryn Bradford Bostain returned to her Heavenly Father Tuesday January 7, 2014 at Rocky Mountain Care Center, Hunter Hollow nursing and rehabilitation center.

Ann was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 3, 1939 to the late Bernice McCarley and John Bradford. She married Sidney Boyce and raised five children, Jeff, Tamra, Gloria \"Peanut,\" Daniel and Matt. She also considered Sherry as her daughter, and loved each and every one of you with all her heart.

Ann is also survived by 4 grandson\s, Justin Boyce, Bud Groves, Chris Groves and Tony Boyce; 10 granddaughters, Brittany DeAnn Counts, Jenn Brand, Shaylynne Shelley, Melissa Boyce, Shelby Boyce, Kristina Boyce, Nanci Boyce, Justice Boyce, April Groves and Kandice Atkinson; 6 great grandson\s, Antonio, Aiden, Rage, Trestin, Ryker and Zach; and 4 great granddaughters, Shauna, Sydney Jane, Sierra and Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents William and Dolly Ashman; mom Bernice Termunde; step dad Norman Termunde; great granddaughter Teona DeAnn Counts; her beloved close friends, as well as Turbo, Doofus and several other wonderful dogs she took in over the years, and treated like her very own children.

She touched many lives during her lifelong legacy of service as a healthcare provider. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her patient\s, always going above and beyond for them helping to make everything alright. Love was a defining characteristic of her life, as evident in her relationships with family and friends. In life she taught the true meaning of unconditional love, generosity, acceptance, kindness and selflessness. She was truly an extraordinary woman.

She had so many great passions in life, some of which were scary movies, the piano, her beloved dogs, Big Bird, family, friends, and she relished her Diet Coke and candy bars, getting so excited when we\d bring her some, it was like a child on Christmas morning, she\d be so thrilled! She also enjoyed helping to support different charities, even though she didn\t have much, she believed in helping others in any way she could.

While at times granny gums could be stubborn and headstrong, especially when it came to her family, the twinkling in her eyes conveyed love, warmth, compassion and generosity towards others. Her sense of humor brightened our lives and everyone she ever met.

She had a unique ability to live happily each day no matter the obstacles she faced. It didn\t matter how bad a day you were having if you were around grandma she had a way to make you feel better. Her home was always open to those who visited her and who needed a place to stay, room was always found for everyone.

Her impact in this world was so immense, our hearts ache for losing her, but we will take comfort in knowing she\s up in heaven, no longer suffering from the illnesses she had been, no longer in pain, she\s dancing with her favorite music, With all the ones we loved who passed before her and knowing there will be a day when we will see each other again.

The family wishes to thank the many angels at Hunter Hollow for their dedication and wonderful care. You were all very compassionate. She loved you all so, and you made her feel so welcome and comfortable, you became her home away from home. We realize it was the great care she received from you, and the fight she had in her, as to why we were able to keep her here with us as long as we did, even when there was no hope, somehow, someway she\d pull through and fight another day. Although there are too many to name, please know she loved each and every one of you, and our deepest appreciation goes out to you.

We also would like to extend a sincere thank you to family, and friends and neighbors for their prayers and kindness, and for coming to our aid at a moment's notice.

Following grandma\s wishes we will be having a small private family gathering, followed by a celebration of her life for family and friends at the Ridgeland Park Ward,4251 South 4800 West, West Valley City, Utah 84120, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014.
