Jack Franklin Earl, born March 17, 1923, died March 7, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jack was born to Mildred Jane Walker Earl and Dewey Leroy Earl in Ogden, Utah, the youngest of 9 children, and lived a life of devotion to his family. A gifted storyteller, his family enjoyed his tales of growing up in the Depression, driving buses and taxis, working on the San Francisco Bay shipping yards in World War II, his time as a medic in the Army, and the time at age 13 that he went to the fair and got a tattoo of the cute neighbor girl's initials. He lost track of that neighbor but never regretted the tattoo. He is survived by his daughter, Penelope Ann Nail, his son, Jack L. Earl, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
