Growing up in Westbrook Maine, Kathy attended local schools and developed a love for art, skiing, and golf, which she inherited from her parents. In her sophomore year of high school, her family moved to Windham Maine where she graduated from Windham High School.
After graduation, Kathy headed south to Florida to pursue her dreams of writing. She attended college and eventually settled in the Satellite Beach area where she became a columnist for the Cape Canaveral Sunday Paper.
It was in Satellite Beach where she met the love of her life, William Jack Kilgrow. They married on February 28, 1983, and shared a beautiful life together traveling the world and living overseas for 9 years while Jack was stationed in Germany. They returned to Utah in 2007 and made a home in the mountains of Salt Lake surrounded by Jack’s loving family from his first marriage.
Kathy was a passionate genealogist tracing her family’s roots back generations and sharing the stories with her loved ones. She adored spending time with her family, both in Maine, Michigan, and Utah and treasured her visits to Casco Bay.
