Beloved wife, mother of 12 children, grandmother of 27, great-grandmother of 44 was born on December 22, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to LaMont Thomas and Isabel Harrison Thomas. Kay married Gordon Larsen on November 18, 1955 in Salt Lake City. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on September 29,1962. Kay was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many callings including 3 times as Relief Society President. At the time of her passing, she was serving as a Primary Teacher. Kay and Gordon traveled extensively after retiring. They were able to attend 63 temples throughout the U.S. Kay’s passion for interior design won her several “Best of Show” and “People’s Choice” awards and much notoriety. Kay had an amazing capacity to love all, no matter their faith or circumstance. Kay followed in her mother’s footsteps as a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She served a period of time as Camp Captain of the Hannah England DUP camp.

Survived by: Gordon (husband), children son Randy Larsen (Linda), daughter Deborah Frandsen (Mike), son Robert Larsen (Sue), son Tracy Larsen, daughter Shawni Seleman, daughter Sherri Wells, daughter Jenifer Phelps (Todd), son Benjamin Larsen, son Bradley Larsen (Jen), son Alex Larsen (Katie), son Nathan Larsen (Debbie), son Daron Larsen (Joslynn), 27 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren

Preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law.

Service: 4950 South 1950 West, Taylorsville UT 84129
Viewing: Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 6 PM to 8 PM and Wednesday, May 24, 2023 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Service following at 11 AM MDST, Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy UT 84092
