Shortly after they married, they moved to Everett Washington where Keith went to work on the docks for a short period of time. He then went to work with his father in the vacuum cleaner and appliance sales business. He was in sales in one form or another for the rest of his life.
From there Keith and Peggy moved to Anchorage Alaska to join his father to open an appliance store.

In 1956 The family moved back to Salt Lake where Keith along with his father and brothers formed Bigler’s Vacuum Sale and Service on state street where the business operated until Boyd retired in 1996.

After retirement from EMDEKO Keith invested in real estate and other businesses to include a fast-food franchise, a fast lube franchise, Lawn care company, a pet store, and a video store.
