Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Stoffers passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at the age of 84.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; their six children and their spouses; 16 grandchildren (and spouses); 3 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Chuck (MaraLee).

Born in Oregon, Ken served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil as a young man. He later met his sweetheart while attending Brigham Young University, and they were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple.

Ken pursued a career in dentistry and proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Colonel. Following his military service, he shared his knowledge and experience as a faculty member in the School of Dentistry at the University of Michigan.

Ken found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, tending his garden, watching classic movies, and repairing anything he could get his hands on. He was known for his steady hands, generous heart, and willingness to help others.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Tributes

Dear Linda and Family:

Ed has known Ken before he moved to Riverton, Utah. He has him as an instructor in his Dental career.
Taking Ken to get tacos most Tuesdays for years has been a highlight for Ed. He loved Ken like a brother, even more than his own brothers.
Ken will be missed by our family. He gave a listening ear to both of us.
His garden was wonderful and enjoyed by many people in the area we lived.
You will be in our prayers and included in our temple visits.
Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you.
Love, Ed and Cheryl Staley

Ken was a friend of our family. He saw me at his clinic at the University of Michigan few times. I am sad to learn of his passing but like he reminded me at Tony’s funeral, it is only a temporary separation.
Much love to Linda and family.

Ken was a delight when he came to the Senior Center. He was so polite. He always smiled and shared memories. I often have had other seniors ask why he hasn’t been there. He is missed by them and by me. Hugs Linda, please reach out to us at the center if you feel a need. We are there for you❤️

We have fond memories of both Ken and Linda. We enjoyed their friendship during our empty nester socials. My husband Ken remembers his time with Ken in the Elders quorum presidency. We loved his enthusiasm when he shared his missionary experiences. Taco Tuesday was a have/to with Ken weekly. He was a great friend and will be missed.

I loved talking with Ken! He was a kind, friendly and thoughtful person and he was always available to talk. When I was looking for a new dentist, he recommended Kyle Pullen and boy was he right on with that advice! He so adored Linda and his children and I loved that about him. Rest in Heaven, Ken.

Ken had such a kind heart. He was always watching out for me as I live across the street. He gave me tips on how to start my car if I lose power in my car battery when I leave my lights on. He showed me sales of car parts from the car ads. He helped me get into my house thru my back windows when I forget my house keys. I enjoy seeing him board and get off the community van from my windows. I am sure he will still look out for me from up there in heaven. See you again sometime Ken. I will miss you!!!!

I have recently been reviewing notes in my 20+ years worth of Franklin-Covey calendars. Came across several entries with Ken’s name. We spent numerous hours together in High Council meetings and even the occasional commute. I remember he showed me a quicker way to get home from the Saline Stake Center and I thought of him with gratitude each time I drove that route. My love to all.
