Norma Ellis Lunt

1922 ~ 2014

Norma Ellis Lunt, age 92, passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 22, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah causes incident to age. Norma was born the eldest daughter of Oliver Gregory and Vera Jones Ellis March 2, 1922 in Ogden, Utah. She married Lee Wallace Lunt February 10, 1944 in Salt Lake City. They were the parents of 6 children.

Norma graduated from East High School and attended the University of Utah.

Possessed of many talents, she used them to bless the lives of her family, her community, her church and those in need. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions with much of that service in the area of music. Norma's numerous talents led her in many directions including that of a small business owner with her husband.

She is survived by her children, Marsha, Gregory, Geoffrey, Stacey and Kevin all of Salt Lake City, 9 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren with another on the way and 1 great great grandchild, sisters Joanne Wesson, Kathryn (Samuel) Dunlap and brother, Richard G. Ellis, and sister in law, Carma W. Lunt and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Maureen, parents and brother, William, sisters-in-law Ann W. Ellis, Helen Corwin, and brothers-in-law H. Douglas Lunt, Richard Wesson and Dale Corwin.

Her family would like to express their appreciation for the care she received from OneCare Home Health and Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at the Holladay North Stake Center, 4395 S. Albright Dr. (2115 E) Salt Lake City, Friday, August 29th at 11 AM, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. A visitation will be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 E. 1300 S., Salt Lake City Thursday, August 28th from 6-8 pm. Burial held at Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery with her husband.
