Our beautiful wife, mom, sister, Auntie Kim, “Momma Tim”, and caring friend passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on August 18, 2022 at the age of 65.
Kim was born to Max and Marjorie Wood September 23, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Bingham High School in 1975. She went on to work in the profession of cosmetology where she worked closely with her mother and sister for over 20 years. She married Russell Goff in 1974, and later divorced. She married Michael Peglau on September 2, 1983. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Jordan River Temple, November 14, 1987.
In 1989 she and Mike moved to Sublett, Idaho where she wore many hats: School bus driver, sugar beet truck driver, weighmaster, worked in the potato industry, and became an EMT. She was the caretaker of THE WHOLE FAMILY!
She and Mike moved back to Utah in 2004 to help care for her mom and dad. She became her dad’s shadow as he became older. She was his right hand man and girl Friday while holding down her receptionist position at Gene Fullmer Rec Center. She went above and beyond her responsibilities there. She was their PR man because she loved the people who frequented the center. She displayed her creative talents by creating bulletin boards and display cases. She was currently employed at the South Jordan Rec Center, where she was loved and was a tremendous asset. In 2011, her sister Kristi was diagnosed with ALS and as her condition deteriorated, Kim spent countless hours taking loving care of her.
She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many church positions. Kim’s family meant the world to her and her pride and love for them had no bounds. She loved people and was a comedian, entertainer, and life of the party at our family gatherings. Kim was always on the “sunny” side, lifting the spirits of anyone who needed a kind word or a hug. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by the many lives she touched.
Kim was survived by her loving husband Mike, her children Jennifer (Alberto) Montoya, J.R. (Sharelle) Goff, Max (Jennifer) Peglau. 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Sisters Sherie (Roy) Bowers, Barbara Andreason, Robyn (Robert) Mantas, and brother Bryan (Troy) Wood, brothers and sisters in law, and many nieces and nephews who all adored her.
She was preceded in death by two sets of Grandparents, her parents (Max and Marjorie Wood), Sister (Kristi Calder) Brother in law (Danny Andreason), and great grandson Baylor Odegard.

Mike and Family,
I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.
Kim was just what I needed growing up! She was happy, hilarious, encouraging, wise, and so sweet to everyone! She always talked to me about her husband and kids and she loved them so much.
I will miss my Kimmy more than anything in the world! My prayers and thoughts are with her family 💕
I've known Kim like it seems ever. She was a little sister's friend growing up. I had the joy of torturing both of them kim cut my hair for many years until she moved to Idaho. Sheila and I had the pleasure of running into her at our local Pharmacy in West Jordan not to long ago.We went to lunch and laughed ourselves silly. There is going to be a big hole in this life without her. My love goes out to all her kids and to Mike. God bless you all through this tough time and know I am praying for all of you.
We are so sad to hear that Kim is gone way too young. We have many wonderful memories of Kim and JR ( and Jenny) when our kids were great friends at the school for the deaf. Carpools, field trips, Primary, birthday parties, school activities. ❤️❤️
Oh dear Kim, so remember her in West Jordan. Loved to hear about her family and life; what great accomplishments and a beautiful family!
I hardly know where to start I could talk forever about my memories of Kim. She was my dearest friend from Elementary school on.I spent a lot of time at her house after school, sleepovers, parties all so much fun with Kim. I never remember her in a bad mood she loved to take care of her family and friends, never complaining. I remember Kristy and I watching Kim,Barbara and Sherry practicing a musical number for a family reunion to the tune of Boogie Woogiee Bugle Boy of company B. It was hysterical watching them but ended up being really good! Kim had a good voice we would sit for hours in the front room listening to Barbara Streisand Albums and Bee Gees and many more. Kim was everybody’s favorite and she made everyone feel like you were her favorite. She came to visit me a few times seemed like we had never been apart, she was so easy to talk to so compassionate! I know she has many many more relatives and friends on the other side of the veil as ‘this side.Kim was a lovely Spirit who carried her love for our Savoir Jesus Christ throughout her life I will miss you Dear Kim until we meet on the other side! JoLynn❤️
My sincere condolences for your family's untimely loss.
