Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully on March 17, 2014. Robert (Bob) was born March 26, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Marion C. Nelson and Edna A. Nelson.
Bob graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of Utah and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, where he made many life-long friends. He served in the US Air Force. He married Julianne Price in 1966, later divorced in 1997. He was a member of the Holladay 2nd Ward.
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed tennis and playing card games, but most of all he loved traveling and spending time with his family.
Survived by his children, Heidi Atkin and Rob Nelson Jr. (Amanda); grandchildren, Heather (Joey), Blake, Tyson, Jake, Mathew, and Joclyn; great-grandson Merrick; siblings, Marjory Rohlfing, Elder Russell M. Nelson (Wendy), and Enid DeBirk. Preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Edna, and his son, Troy.
Services will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 12:00 p.m. at the Holladay 2nd Ward, 4568 Holladay Blvd. Friends may call from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. at the ward house prior to services. A viewing will be held Friday, March 21st between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Interment at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
