Tributes

I am terribly sorry for your loss. I have known Lee for many years, as we shared a common interest in programming. I have the utmost respect for Lee's ability to solve issues and provide solutions for his clients.

I know that his strong faith will give you the courage to get through the days, weeks, and months ahead. As the Apostle Paul said, we grieve, but not as those who have no hope.

Many of us in the software development community will miss Lee. Please know that his intelligence, humor, and friendliness will remain in our hearts.

I enjoyed getting to know Kosz who lived next door to us in Sandy, Utah and later visiting him and his wife, Joann in Albuquerque in October 2024. What a wonderful life he led and shared with his closest friends and family. Kosz to me was a humble and passionate individual and he did and dedicated everything with the love of his wife and family at his forefront. His selfless nature left a lasting impact on those around him for sure. I more than appreciate the friendship he shared with my parents. Especially, with my father in my father's last few years who was also battling cancer while Kosz, putting his own health journey on hold to offer cheer. One of the many examples of that was after Kosz moved to Albuquerque he frequently travelled back to Utah to visit my parents and even came back to Utah for my father's funeral last May 2025. This meant the world to our family. Kosz gave more of himself even when he didn't have much left to give physically. He made you feel important, a man who made you feel truly valued and cherished. He had one enormous heart of gold and his relationships to him, were his biggest asset. When I heard the news of his passing, I was heartbroken for his family. I was heartbroken for us. The world truly lost a very good man. May perpetual light shine upon him.

Kosta was a great man, and taught many people many things. Honestly if I left my favorite quote from him, it would be a little inappropriate here, but if you know you know and you know he’d laugh with us about it.

The time spent with him on trips and at gatherings were always full of laughs and learning, philosophy and fun. He will be missed, and we are all better for having him in our lives.
