Our sweet and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend passed away unexpectedly on January 1st, 2015.
Born June 3rd, 1940 to James M. and Leah Irvine. Married Gary Allen Clayton on October 1st, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Sandy's greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother. She loved spending time with her family, whether vacationing, holiday gatherings, or simple BBQs at home. She had a love for anything Disney and took multiple trips to Disneyland and Disney World. She enjoyed making dolls and gardening. She was known for her wonderful chocolate chip cookies, salsa, and her cake decorating.
Sandy will be remembered for her generosity and even more so for her big heart. She always opened her home to those in need. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Survived by children, Dan (Tina) Clayton, Wendy (Steve) Marsh, Rick (Lisa) Clayton, Amy (Deven) Ritchie, and Michael (Dawn) Clayton, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brothers Robert (Cheryl) Irvine, Gregory (Josie) Irvine, sister Susan (Kent) Ferlan, brother-in-law John DeVries. Preceded in death by husband Gary, son Jim, parents James and Leah Irvine, sister Carol DeVries.
Funeral services will be held on Thurs. January 8th, at 11:00 am, at the LDS church located at 7645 S. 3200 W. Friends may call on Wed. Jan 7th from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. 10600 S. and one hour prior to services on Thurs. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
