Jack R Webb

1934 ~ 2013

Our wonderful, hilarious, sarcastic, and compassionate dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle, and dear friend, Jack R. Webb passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 22, 2013. He was born July 2, 1934 in Spokane, WA to Lester Ray Webb and Marian Cosand. He married his best friend and sweetheart Claire Fullmer on August 20th, 1959 and sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

A member of the LDS church Jack served in many callings, the most recent was working in the Jordan River Temple. He enjoyed this calling so much and made many, many friends who he would remember everywhere he went.

Sports were a huge passion in his life. He played baseball while he was in the Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor, and played on many teams after. Jack was a diehard Jazz fan and always believed they would win the "big one" each year. He coached many teams but especially enjoyed coaching his kids and grandkids. There was always a ballgame on his television, and he would loudly coach from the couch as if they could hear him.

Dad's humor and sparkling wit will be so missed by all who knew him. He was the best. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mick Webb. He is survived by his wife Claire, daughters Dawn Nowacki, Diane Howe, Dayna Pymm, Julee Wagner, son Rich Webb, and many grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Gene Webb.

The funeral will be held on Monday Oct. 28 at 11:00 am at the Murray 29th Ward Building 6300 South 700 West, Murray, UT. Visitations will be held Sunday Oct. 27th from 6:00-9:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), and also from 10:00-10:45 am at the church prior to the services.
