Connie passed away peacefully on January 4, 2018 in Sandy, Utah. Connie was born in San Jose, CA on September 13, 1943 to Arthur Kye Garbini and Mary Edna Rohm. She married her late husband, and life-long love, Elmore Ivan Collard in the Salt Lake Temple and together, they shared 44 wonderful years of marriage. Connie was blessed with an endearing kindness and innocence that touched everyone she met. She was a faithful member of the LDS church and was actively engaged with the Salt Lake County Deaf community. She loved all animals and routinely provided support to many nonprofit animal organizations.
Connie is survived by her sons, Arthur Collard and Alonzo Collard, sisters, Twila Van Ess and Suzy Garbini, brother, Troy Council, grandchildren, Daniel, Celecia, and Brooklyn, and great-grandchildren, Brealin and Gwendolyn.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 1950 East 10600 South (Dimple Dell Road), Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
