Jenny Lynn Meyer

1980 ~ 2018

Sandy, Utah - Our loving, sweet daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunt, Jennifer Lynn Meyer, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 11, 2018 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Jenny always had a smile on her face and was called the "X and O" girl by her Grandpa Lloyd. She was born on March 15, 1980 to Sterling Drake Meyer and Beverly Jane Lloyd Meyer.

Jenny grew up in Sandy, Utah and graduated from Alta High School in 1998. She was fascinated with the French language and went on a high school tour of Paris, France with her sister Jackie. While in her senior year of high school, Jenny sustained a traumatic brain injury from a car accident. In the process of her miraculous recovery, Jenny's beloved high school French teacher Madame Cathy Giuli, visited her and spoke to her in French which inspired her to continue studying the French language. After high school, Jenny was admitted into the University of Utah where she spent a summer semester abroad in Neuchatel, Switzerland studying the French language. Then in 2004, Jenny graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in French.

Jenny was a faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in the primary and was most recently serving as the ward librarian. She actively attended the local singles ward for many years where she was loved by everyone. She also graduated from the University Institute of Religion with two certificates of completion.

Jenny loved working with people, providing customer service and sales. Over the years, she was a sales clerk at Macy's, Kmart, Target, and Harmons, and prior to that time, she worked as a bookkeeper at her father's CPA firm. Jenny had an infectious smile and was happy to help everyone around her.

Jenny loved visiting and tending her nieces and nephews. They spent many hours playing games, doing projects and creating artwork together. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Sterling Albert Meyer, Jeanne Drake Meyer, and John Hugh Lloyd, as well as, her father Sterling Drake Meyer. She is survived by her grandmother, Beverly Cronin Lloyd, her mother, Beverly Jane Meyer, her sisters: Jackie (Brian) Wallenberg, Stacy (John) Hamm, and her brother Jeffrey (Larena) Meyer, three nieces, five nephews, as well as, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
