Our beautiful and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on December 8, 2016 surrounded by family at her Salt Lake City home.
She was born on July 24, 1926 in Cleveland, New Mexico (Mora County) to Demetrio Pando and Genoveva Trujillo.
She married Damacio J. Martinez on March 2, 1942. She is survived by her children, Nick (Diane), Joe, Ben (Elly), Irene (Eric), and Jane (Kelly), brother Corsinio Pando, step-sister Corina Garcia, step-brothers Joe Pando, Leo Pando, Ernie Pando and Alfred Pando. 11 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
In life, she enjoyed reading, socializing, quilting, traveling, cooking and took every opportunity to spend time with family and friends. She gave unselfishly of herself always. She was a devout Catholic and spent many hours dedicated to her faith. She was a member of St. Patrick's parish for many years.
Precededin death by her parents Demetrio and Genoveva Pando, husband Damacio, son Benny, daughter Mildred, sisters Selane, Corina, and Carolina, brothers Jake, Rosendo and step-brothers Julian and Bill and grandson Joseph Martinez.
Services will be as follows: A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 6:00-7:00 PM with Rosary following. Funeral will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Madeline Church, 331 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
