Dorothy Turner Tippets

1926 ~ 2015

On September 10, 2015 we said good-bye to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Dorothy Turner Tippets. She was called home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father after a brief illness.

Mom was born to Fred S. Turner and Bertha May Eggett on November 23, 1926. On May 22, 1947 she married her eternal companion Lynn M. Tippets. Their marriage was made an eternal one on May 22, 2007. Their life would be blessed with 4 children, 17 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Mom's greatest joy in life was being with her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and sharing with them her many talents.

Mom's life was full and she gave freely of herself. Her life was spent in giving service to others. For 25 years she shared her love of the gospel with the primary children in her ward. After she and Dad retired they spent many years traveling and finally settled in as camp hosts at Strawberry Reservoir and in the Uintah's.

Mom leaves behind her loving husband of 68 years, children Terry and Sally Tippets, Karen and Don Hilton, Kathy and Ronnie Rees, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, a brother and many other beloved family members. She was greeted in heaven by her son Lynn M. Tippets Jr.

Services for mom will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Salt Lake Rose Park Stake Center, 760 North 1200 West, in Salt Lake City at 11:00 am with a viewing to be held one hour prior to the services. Mom will be laid to rest beside her son in the Farmington City Cemetery.
