Logan George Dutcher

1949 ~ 2015

Logan George Dutcher, age 65, passed away June 9, 2015 in Sandy, Utah. Logan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to George and Elizabeth Dutcher.

He served in the Army March 1970 until March 1976. A Vietnam Veteran, where he received the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, 2 Purple Hearts, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert (Rifle), and Marksman (M-60 MG).

Logan later served at Fort Hood Texas. Where he met his best friend, sole mate and love of his life, Joy Alice Henry Dutcher. They were married on March 4, 1972 in Barksdale, Texas. He brought her home to Utah and extended their love affair to 40 years. They loved to play golf and received many trophies. They also loved traveling, hiking, camping, collecting rocks. He especially loved ancient ruins. They had many games and loved to play together, they did everything together even grocery shop. Until she preceded him in death by 3 years. He never got over her leaving him. Now he is with her in Heaven and Happy again.

He is preceded in death by his wife Joy Alice Henry Dutcher and parents George and Elizabeth Dutcher.

Logan will be cremated and his remains along with those of his wife will be laid to rest in a niche at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Utah.
