Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Larry Blaine Nash, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 1, 2024, in Draper, Utah. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Larry had a kind and gentle way about him. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, everyone would listen because you never knew if there were jokes or wisdom being spoken. Larry dedicated his life to his loved ones, always putting their needs above his own. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him. Larry was a hardworking man, who took pride in his family and created a loving home and haven for them. His favorite person in this world was his best friend and wife, Janis. They enjoyed spending time with each other laughing, going on long drives, traveling, going to movies and anytime spent with family.
In his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing and watching anything sports. He found solace in the great outdoors and cherished the moments spent with his family. Larry's love for baseball was most evident in the way he would passionately cheer for his favorite team, which was any team his son or grandsons were on, always hoping for a win. His grandchildren felt like they were number one to him. He had a way of making each of them feel special and spent a great deal of quality time with each of them throughout the years.
Larry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength. Although he may no longer be with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Janis; children, Misty (Brett) Bangerter, CayCey Brundage, and Luke (Melissa) Marti; grandchildren, Travis (Quinn) Stauber, Kash (Ireland) Stauber, Conner Bangerter, Gabriel (Janthip) Bangerter, Ryland Marti, Mason Marti, Chance Marti, Crusoe Marti and his only great grandson, Wesley Stauber; siblings Loraine Nash, LeeAnn (John) Russo, Vicki Nash, David (Heidi) Nash, Mark Nash, Steven Nash and Holly (Rich) DeBartolo and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Blain R. and Rada Christensen Nash.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Lone Peak 4th Ward, 2080 Pinecrest Lane, Sandy, UT 84092 at 12:00 p.m. Viewing with be held just prior to the services from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092
