Laura Linda Bird

Laura Linda Gentry Bird, age 69, a resident of Orem, Utah, died at her home on Friday, August 14, 2026. She was born to Levi Ellis Gentry and Lorraine Jeanne Meyer Gentry in St George, Utah, on July 22, 1957. She was a graduate of Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Utah, where she lived throughout her childhood. She was an avid quilter and gardener, and a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She founded Basting Buddies (now disbanded) and has taught quilting formally and informally. She volunteered at the Orem Senior Friendship Center

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, David Koerner, and her eldest son, Joshua Bird.

She is survived by her husband Terry Bird, three children - Ashley, Levi, and Jessica - as well as her son- and daughters-in-law; seven siblings; nineteen grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 10 am - 10:45 am at the Aspen North Stake Center, 965 W 2000 N, Orem, UT 84057. Funeral services will follow at 11 am on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the same location. A viewing the night before will be held at the same location on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 7 pm - 9 pm. The interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens on a separate date.
