Laura June Ellis, loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend unexpectedly completed her mission on this earth on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the age of 56.

Laura was born to Norma Gutke Ellis and Daniel Stewart Ellis on July 10, 1965 in Murray, Utah, one of five children. Laura was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She lived the majority of her life in the Holladay / Millcreek area and graduated from Olympus High School.

Laura was gifted with an artistic style and loved to decorate. She tried many different avenues in pursuit of her career including travel agency work, floral design, being a nanny, retail work, researcher, and others, but found her path led her to being a caregiver for her loving parents. The family is grateful and appreciative of the many years of dedication and service she provided to Mom and Dad.

Laura’s greatest joy and love in life were her pets, she was never without a dog and a cat to spoil and love: they were truly her children.
She is survived by her three brothers, Randall (Linda), Scott (Joy/deceased), B. Carl (Kathy) and her nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved pets, Yoshi and Oliver.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Norma, infant sister, Wendi Ann and sister-in-law Joy Okland Ellis.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City. A graveside service will be held at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 South Memory Lane (1900 East) following the visitation.

Laura Ellis was a delightful friend and neighbor. I enjoyed the chance to visit with her regularly as a neighbor and as her ministering sister. I send my love and condolences to her family. She will be much missed.
