St. George, UT - Verl McQuiston got his wish and went peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of November 24, 2021, at the age of 80. He was born on August 27, 1941 in Salt Lake City to LaVerna Bradley and Joseph McQuiston.

Verl married his sweetheart Joan Bosh on May 22, 1960. Together they had three children Kimberly, Deon, and Chad. Verl worked in the construction industry for 62 years. After retirement they moved to St. George.

He loved to be at the cabin with family and friends, fishing and hunting. Verl especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Everyone was his "Bud" or "Pard" and he was generous to all he met. Verl was the most loyal and honest friend you could have.

Survived by his wife Joan; children Kim (Roger) Thompson, Deon (Heather) McQuiston, Chad (Marley) McQuiston; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother Don McQuiston. Preceded in death by his parents; and grandson Ryan McQuiston.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 30th at 10:30 AM also at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Guestbook/Condolences

    Joan, Kim, Deon, and Chad,
I’m so sorry to hear about this. My best memories of LaVerl and Joan, was when we were building our cabins. I remember when Verl helped us install our floor. He was very well skilled in construction, always seemed to be full of energy, and possess a positive attitude. My parents and I really enjoyed your company. I regret that I’ve been out of touch with you for so long.

How fortunate for our family to be Verl and Joan’s neighbors for many years in South Jordan. They loved their family and were wonderful neighbors. May you all be comforted and feel peace at this time. With Love, Kendra

My heart aches to hear this news, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. The world was a better place with Uncle Verl, he was so kind, generous and loving to everyone he met. He always made me feel important and had me giggling all the time. I will miss him dearly.

    All my love,
    Christy Ricketson
