Our dear loving and caring mother LaWain Beverly Wentz was put to rest Friday, May 16, 2025, following a small and intimate graveside service per her wishes, after passing away peacefully on May 12, 2025.
LaWain was born June 22, 1936, in Bingham, Utah. Mom enjoyed gardening and doing her crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Mom was always ready with a joke; she was loving, friendly and care free. She made friends easily and would do anything for them, especially for her family.
LaWain was preceded in death by her husband Alva O. Wentz, parents Marvin and Harriet Cowdell, brother Melvin Cowdell and sister Betty Montgomery, granddaughter Kristy Wentz and by her great love, Gene Schmidt.
Survived by 6 children; Earl (Lorri) Wentz and Brenda (Jack) Klotovich, brother Marvin Cowdell, sisters Collin Chamberlain and Dawn (Keith) Sargent; 15 grandchildren, numerous great-greatchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Special thanks to her dear friend Tommy Muir for his friendship and companionship in the last years of her life. Earl and Brenda would also like to thank her hospice team, especially Cassie, for their kindness and compassion while caring for mom.
