Leora was born on January 11, 1924, in Downey, Idaho. She was the ninth of ten children. She finished her school years at North Gem High. She married her sweetheart, Elden Booth, on July 12, 1946. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 15, 1954.
Mom was proud to call herself a housewife and a homemaker. She was a wonderful doting mother, who had great skills in cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Her breads and pies were legendary! She also was a talented artist. She painted many beautiful pictures in oils and watercolor. She always kept busy doing something artistic or crafty. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many capacities: Relief Society President (twice), Primary President, Junior Sunday School President, Primary chorister, teacher in Primary and YWMIA, and Cub Scout Den Mother. She loved the Gospel and said her proudest moments were when her whole family was in the temple together.
She loved her family and was always supportive in everything that her children were involved in. She loved to camp and fish and to go boating with her family. She loved music and loved to go dancing with Dad and friends. Mom spent a life serving others and supporting her husband in many charitable causes. She prided herself in her penmanship, and always had beautiful cursive handwriting. She was a dedicated journal writer and in 2001 edited her journals into a 54-page prose entitled “This is My Life”. She was an active member of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved the fellowship of the women and was proud of her pioneer heritage.
She was the last living member of her family, preceded in death by her parents, Christian & Cynthia Christensen, her brothers, Arvis, Orvil, George (Pent), Keith, and Virl; her sisters, Ila, Helen, Arneita, and Colleen, and a grandson, Scott Petersen. Her sweetheart Elden passed away in July 2021. She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Don) Roundy, Susan Petersen, Stephen (Janet), Michael (RaNae), Brian (Teriann), and David (Gina) Booth; 21 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Remember many gatherings with the greater family. We enjoyed each other's company. Leora was very kind to others and will be missed here. However, there's a nice reunion with the 4 brothers and their wives.
