Leslie Harvey Harris, formerly of Duchesne, UT was currently living at Riverway Assisted Living Center in South Jordan, UT and passed away on June 8th, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father Douglas Harvey, her mother Margaret Peterson Harvey, daughter Denine Harris Reynolds and grandson Jerry Gene Harris Hale. She is survived by her 7 siblings, her only son Kelly Harris and daughter Dori Harris Buffum, 13 grandkids, 17 great grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids.

Leslie was born in Moab, UT on Sept 24th, 1938. She grew up in Blanding, Utah and graduated from San Juan High School in 1956. She received a degree in special education from BYU in 1970. She taught special education for 32 years in Duchesne schools.

Leslie was an avid gardener and could make just about anything grow, even in the soil of Duchesne. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, especially her kitties. She was loving on a baby lamb when she passed away. Leslie also loved music and was an accomplished organist and played for her church for many years. She was very smart, and always reading something. Leslie recently found a new zest for life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Services will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 W. 12600 S. in Riverton, UT on Saturday, June 17th. There will be a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 am, followed by funeral services at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 500 N. Main Street, Pleasant Grove, UT. For those unable to attend, services will be streamed via Zoom. Guestbook/Condolences

Have loved this dear friend for many years. Many good memories of serving together and visits. Loved her talent on the piano, her love of animals especially cats. Wish I could be with her for her final send off. I’m grateful her last moments were were happy ones.
