Linda Hammon Tracy

Our fierce warrior sister, Linda Hammon Tracy, passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly missed.

Linda loved to spend time up in her and Pat’s cabin while fishing out on the lake. Linda had to always catch the first fish before anyone else could catch one. She loved to cook, and we loved to eat all the wonderful meals she provided for her family and friends. Everything was always her “number one dish”. Linda loved to play cards, especially Bridge and Pinochle. She loved playing with her mom and her sisters. Linda would have marathon pinochle nights and laugh uncontrollably. Linda loved her family and would do anything for them.

Linda loved dogs the most. She loved Max, her beautiful white lab. When Max passed, it was so painful to her that she never wanted another dog. She would quite often tend to the families’ dogs and the neighbors’ dogs as long as she could send them back home.

Linda is survived by her son Wayne Douglas Buckley, her father Boyd Hammon, her sisters and brother in laws Betty and David Anderson, Cindy and Troy Nye, and Tamra and Jeff David and her chosen sister Deborah Egbert. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband David Patrick Tracy, her son Jacob Patrick Tracy, her mother Sally Simpson Hammon, her stepmom Sandra Hammon, grandparents George and Lucille Simpson, Delbert Hammon, Anna and Ray Parlenti.

A viewing will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy Utah.
