Obituary Photo for Linda A. Fairless

Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Linda A. Fairless passed away at the age of 76 on August 27, 2024, at home due to complications of cancer. She was born January 1, 1948, in Ogden, Utah, to Deloris Jackson and Kenneth L. Morgan (both deceased). She graduated from South High School in 1967 and married Russ D. Fairless shortly after. They were married for 51 years before Russ preceded her in death on November 2, 2018. They had two children, Kimberly Ann and Chad Douglas.

Linda spent over forty years in the banking industry and was highly respected by her clients and peers. She worked for American Savings, US Bank, and retired from Zion’s Bank in January of 2015 after being diagnosed with lung cancer. She kept in touch with many of her customers even after she retired. She considered them all friends, not just acquaintances.

Linda enjoyed spoiling her grandkids, spending time with her family, reading, cooking and hosting the Christmas get-together. She was exceptionally proud of Kim and Chad and the way they helped her with anything and everything after Russ passed.

Linda is survived by her daughter Kim (Dan) Dent, son Chad (Melissa), grandchildren Hilary Dent (Conor) Robertson, Courtney Dent, and Riley Fairless, great-grandson Jack Robertson, sister Darlene Hallman and brother Tom Nicholson. She is preceded in death by her husband Russ Fairless, sister Kathy Allen, and her parents Deloris and Kenneth. Linda was exceptionally close to her younger sister Dar, Dar’s husband Robert and their family. She considered them her second family. Russ and Robert were longtime best friends who grew up and married sisters.
