Linda Mary McLeod Childs, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, family and friend peacefully passed away with family by her side on December 12, 2024, at the age of 76. Linda was born March 3, 1948, to George and Delores McLeod and grew up in West Valley, Utah. She married the love of her life Thomas Wayne Childs on June 28, 1974, and they were sealed at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She moved to Tooele, Utah, where together they raised their 5 daughters whom she loved and adored. For the last 16 years she fought against Parkinson's disease and sadly she could not fight anymore.

Linda was very loving, kind and generous, she always welcomed everyone into her life as if they were already family, she was always so patient, rarely complained and always had a smile on her face. She had the most beautiful soul that everyone loved. She loved camping, fishing, spending time at her parents cabin, having gatherings with family and friends, especially during the holidays. She always dedicated herself into helping others through different jobs, activities and in life. She was her children and husband's biggest supporter with all they did. She was part of the LDS Church where she enjoyed helping and teaching primary classes. Throughout the years she was a Boy Scout leader, a babysitter for others, worked as a computer teacher, in the cafeteria, volunteered her time at East Elementary, and finished her working career with AAA Credit Foundation where she found enjoyment helping others.

Linda is survived by her daughters Michelle Roberts (bonus daughter), Necol Childs (Josh), Julie Busico (Anthony), Tamara Childs (Taylor), 21 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Greeting her in heaven are her parents (George and Delores Mcleod), her loving husband (Tom Childs), brother (Bill Mcleod), sister (Elaine Mcleod Davis), her daughter (Denise Childs), her grandson (Austin), and many other family and friends.

The family would like to give their gratitude to the Aspen Ridge Residences of Lehi and their hospice team for all the care, compassion, and love they had provided Linda over the last year and a half she lived there.

In place of sending flowers the family asks for donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease in her honor.

Per her wishes there will be a small viewing on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a graveside dedication to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah 84092. There will be a luncheon/celebration of life at at 3:30 pm at the Pioneer Crossing ward building, 901 So. 2300 West, Lehi, Utah 84043.
